Ain Shams University Examination System (Preclinical)

As mentioned earlier, the one-and two -year medical student at Ain Shams University (ASU ) is still below the pre- clinical years . Students will learn the basic sciences year, and learn the same subjects of Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry and Histology .

Examination system or breakdown marks in ASU seems like a bit different than other universities . Overall, the subjects will be an assessment test students ' understanding .

For example , formative exam will be a month or two months. Questions MCQ shaped by 5-15 questions . Scores for the exam is not taken (carry marks ) for the final exam .

For Assessment exam , the place two months after the expiration of one or two great titles for each subject. Questions were also held in the form of MCQ . Total questions 15-20 questions . The scores for this exam brought to final exam .

For Mid -year exam , held at the end of the semester before the winter break. Question is held in the form of 20-30 MCQ questions . Score for this exam brought anxious to final exam .

For some practical exam , otherwise known as the practical examination , laboratory evaluation in each subject.

Written exam ( written test ) for the final exam is the most important exam for students because most scores depend on the written exam marks . Questions are divided into two , whether questions are MCQ 20-30 questions or even some form of essay questions and cases according to predetermined marks for each subject.

For the oral exam or oral test , is held the day after the written test or written exam . Exam held in office / lecturer ( doctor ) . Students are individually tested orally and scored .

Anatomy and Physiology of the subject , his overall score of 250 points, while the subject of Biochemistry and Histology overall scores were a total of 150 marks .

20 % will be taken of the marks :
